Leading With Purpose and Impactful Service
Dela’s remarkable path began as a proud graduate of a Title I high school, where she embraced the transformative power of education. Fueled by a desire to make a difference, she pursued her studies in business at the University of Texas at Austin’s prestigious McCombs School of Business.
Her career in warehouse management at Target’s and Ulta Beauty’s distribution centers provided her with a unique vantage point. It highlighted the disparities between individuals who shared her upbringing versus those in leadership positions. Ultimately, those disparities created a gap she yearned to bridge.
Outside of her professional career, Dela dedicates her time to volunteering in maximum security prisons. Dishearteningly, she noticed a recurring theme connecting Title I schools, warehouse environments, and the prison system. She considers it a high privilege to both recognize the theme between the three and to be able to be a small part of the solution.
Motivated by her experiences, Dela developed a life leadership curriculum that empowers individuals to transcend their circumstances. This curriculum serves as the foundation for her professional training and speaking engagements.
Dela’s heartfelt commitment to bridging communities and creating positive change permeates every facet of her life. She believes everyone deserves an opportunity to rise above their challenges and embrace their full potential. With genuine empathy and laser focus, Dela is making a meaningful impact, one life at a time.
